Sandra Brewster (b. 1973, Toronto, Canada) is a multi-media artist creating work that engages issues of race, identity, representation and memory. She holds a BFA from York University and is a recipient of numerous grants. Her work has been published in several art magazines and her work has been exhibited widely. Brewster's practice also includes work as an arts educator/community arts facilitator and she has coordinated numerous exhibitions involving local artists. Brewster is a first-generation Canadian with parents who left Guyana in the 1960s. Brewster is showing Untitled Smiths: Plain Black at the Addis Foto Fest.
