Grace Ali

“The world through Guyana’s female photographers”

Grace Aneiza Ali is the founder and editorial director of OF NOTE, the online magazine focused on global artists using the arts as catalysts for activism and social change. In 2014, she received the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts Curatorial Fellowship to curate “Guyana Modern,” which will feature a new generation of photographers from Guyana and its major diasporic communities in New York, London and Toronto. She’s also a faculty member in the Department of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at The City College of New York, CUNY. Grace hosts the Visually Speaking series at the Schomburg Center in New York City, which examines the state of photojournalism through the lens of contemporary photographers and image-makers. Grace was born in Guyana and immigrated to the United States when she was fourteen years old. She currently lives in New York City.
