Dudley M. Brooks became a photographer, he says with a laugh, because he “refused to get a real job.” “Being a photographer gives you a license to go out and see hovw people live,” says Brooks. “And in order for us to learn about each other, we have to see how other people live.”
From the psychedelic fury of an all-night rave dance party to roommates clowning around at the Laundromat, Brooks captures the motion and energy of the world at large. Brooks has been with The Post since 1983. He is the Senior Photo Director at Ebony magazine.
